About Us - Supporting Emotional Growth Through Mindfulness

Our Story

At Mindful Living Resources, we believe mindfulness is a powerful tool for transforming lives. Our mission is to provide families, educators, and therapists with accessible mindfulness resources and emotional regulation tools to nurture growth, resilience, and connection. By offering engaging ACT stories, activities, and resources, we strive to create a supportive community where individuals can learn, grow, and thrive.

One of our favorite ways to share mindfulness is through Acceptance Acres, an inviting magical forest where ACT activities and concepts come to life with Finn the Fox, Delaney the Duck, and their friends. Acceptance Acres is just one of the many mindfulness and ACT tools we offer to help children and families navigate life’s challenges with creativity and care.

Meet the Founder

My name is Michael Kiel, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. Since 2008, I've dedicated my career to working with children and families, particularly those navigating the challenges of autism. In 2016, I expanded my work as an outpatient therapist, specializing in supporting children, families, and adults with depression, anxiety, and ADHD.

As a therapist, parent, and advocate for emotional well-being, I've seen how powerful mindfulness and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) concepts can be in helping people of all ages overcome challenges and build meaningful lives. Inspired by my work and my own experiences as a husband and father, I created Mindful Living Resources to make big ideas - like defusion, mindfulness, and values - fun, accessible, and engaging for families.

Acceptance Acres reflects this vision: a place where children and their caregivers can explore emotional health through stories, tools, and resources designed to empower and inspire. It has been a joy to share these concepts with my wife and young children, and I'm excited to share them with you, too.

Thank you for joining me on this journey toward a more mindful and fulfilling life! If you haven't already, visit the Acceptance Acres Store for engaging resources.
